Via Coconut Grove Grapevine. (The corrected article does make some good points about the Commission's decision.)
I do want to highlight a few sites that did mention the eviction:
I do want to highlight a few sites that did mention the eviction:
- The Coconut Grove Chamber of Commerce supported Burn Notice staying at the convention center
- There was a Facebook page made for the cause
- MiamiToday speculates a possible move for the production to go to Broward County
- There were also reports from CBS Miami and NBC South Florida (last link has a spoilery video)

A friend of mine saw this on Scott Clements' Twitter and thought this would be of interest to this comm.
Commissioner Marc Sarnoff wants the Expo Center (formerly the Dinner Key Auditorium) to be torn down to make a park. Thing is, Burn Notice shoots a lot of their interiors in the Expo Center. The City Commissioners are thinking of sending the Burn Notice production to Wynwood (if it gets another season), where the Charlie's Angels reboot once filmed, but it will cost the show more money. Those concerned are sending letters and whatnot to Sarnoff telling him they want the Expo Center to stay, and there may be a large protest to save the Expo Center before a City Commission meeting.
If anyone else knows more about this situation, feel free to correct me or add more links.

my journal on the development of Maddy as a character and her relationship with Michael since s1. Warning: spoilers for everything up to 4x01.
In light of the recent episode, I've posted some thoughts over in
More Information
Sign ups begin 5 January 2010!!
When Michael hears about an operative from his past who is hunting him, he turns to Beck, a prominent member of Miami's underworld, for help. He's too late, however, and Michael and Beck are kidnapped together, only to escape as they are being taken out to the Florida wilderness for interrogation.
They are forced to work together to survive the wilderness and the paramilitary team that is chasing them down. Meanwhile, a man approaches Michael offering to sell his services as an ex-spy to the highest bidder.
Mod Note: My apologies for falling behind in posting these discussion threads; rl has been a little hectic!
Arms trader Brennen (from the episode "Sins of Omission") returns and kidnaps Nate, forcing Michael to help him pull off an elaborate heist. Michael must also contend with Detective Paxson's ongoing investigation.
Please note, there may be spoilers in the comments!
*My apologies for getting this up so late; I was on a flight last night and my schedule's been mad since I landed. :)
My apologies for the sudden spamming of your reading pages! Just wanted to let you know that
